A Call for Unity and Security in the North: Tinubu's Vision for Nigeria's Future
In a powerful address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to tackle the pressing issues facing the northern region of Nigeria. With a firm commitment to eliminating terrorists and bandits, Tinubu aims to restore peace and stability to a region that has faced immense challenges.

"The North's triumph lies in its institutions, not individuals," Tinubu stated, urging leaders to embrace selflessness and moral responsibility.

At the ACF's 25th anniversary event, Northern leaders echoed the need for unity and a direct confrontation with insecurity. Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, stressed that peace is the North's most precious asset, and it must be protected.
Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, Chairman of the ACF Board of Trustees, highlighted the forum's emergence in 2000 to provide moral leadership during challenging times. He urged collaboration between traditional leaders and security agencies to address the region's vulnerabilities.
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed his commitment to peace and development, describing Kaduna as the heart of Northern identity. Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin praised President Tinubu's unwavering support for the North, emphasizing his responsiveness to the region's needs.
Barau urged Northern leaders to unite and leverage the President's support to address long-standing challenges, especially insecurity. He believes that with a resilient people and a supportive President, the North can overcome any obstacle.
"We have a strong foundation and a President who listens," Barau stated. "Together, we can achieve great things."
The Deputy Senate President called for closer collaboration between governors, lawmakers, and the ACF to refine security strategies and promote development. He also emphasized the need for federal lawmakers' involvement in regional security discussions.
As the ACF celebrates its Silver Jubilee, it is tasked with mobilizing the region's strength and partnering with a President aligned with its aspirations. The future of the North hangs in the balance, and the decisions made now will shape its destiny.
