Samsung's next flagship might finally embrace a feature that Apple has mastered, and it could revolutionize how we interact with our phones! Now, exciting leaks are hinting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series could be incorporating a game-changing element: built-in magnets.

We also see what appears to be a screen protector on the S26 Ultra, and these visuals further reinforce the rumors of a distinctive pill-shaped camera bump.
But here's where it gets really interesting: a separate set of images from MysteryLupin showcases what look like Samsung Kindsuit cases for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. These cases not only feature the expected camera cutout but also appear to have magnetic rings on their rear. This aligns with other reports, like those from SammyGuru, which have pointed to case packaging explicitly mentioning the term “magnetic.”
And this is the part most people miss: when you combine these case leaks with the recent online appearance of a new magnetic wireless charger, as highlighted by SAMMobile, it strongly suggests Samsung is committing heavily to magnetic technology.
But how does this stack up against Apple's established MagSafe?
If Samsung indeed integrates magnetic charging directly into the phones, it would be a significant leap forward, addressing an area where they've trailed behind. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra did gain Qi2 support, it lacked the crucial built-in magnets, meaning you needed a compatible case to benefit. Apple, on the other hand, has had MagSafe seamlessly integrated into the iPhone's design since the iPhone 12. Both offer a respectable 15W charging speed, though iPhones can push up to 25W.
The key advantage of Apple's approach is the more stable connection that comes from internal integration, rather than relying solely on a case. If Samsung is embedding these magnetic rings directly into the S26 devices, it should theoretically resolve many of the connectivity quirks users have experienced. Of course, we'll have to wait for the official unveiling to confirm.
We don't have long to wait! The consensus among leakers and industry watchers points to the next Galaxy Unpacked event taking place on February 25th. This slightly later date than last year means we might see the new phones hitting shelves around March 11th.
