Maine Celtics’ streak ends as Go-Go snap nine-game run
In Washington, D.C., the Capital City Go-Go halted Maine Celtics’ franchise-record nine-game winning streak with a convincing 111-77 victory on Friday afternoon. Five-year NBA veteran Skal Labissiere was a standout, delivering 20 points and 10 rebounds to fuel the Go-Go’s win.
Maine struggled from the floor, shooting just 38.7 percent overall (29 of 75) and hitting only 22.9 percent from beyond the arc (8 of 35). The Celtics also turned the ball over 21 times, hampering their attack as Capital City extended its own defensive dominance. The 77-point output marked the second-lowest scoring total for Maine this season and set a franchise record for points allowed by the Go-Go.
