EUR ING Margaret Copland CEng CSci FIMMM, a distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, has been honored with the prestigious Jørgen Hallundbæk Lifetime Achievement Award. This recognition was bestowed upon her at the Offshore Well Intervention Awards in Aberdeen, acknowledging her remarkable 40-year career in the oil and gas industry. Margaret's dedication and expertise have left an indelible mark on the field, particularly in advancing the role of female engineers. Her journey began at the University of Strathclyde, where she earned a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering. She then joined the North Sea Transition Authority at its inception and has since played a pivotal role in assessing legacy wells and carbon storage remediation as the CS Wells Lead. Margaret's contributions have been instrumental in shaping the industry's future, and her leadership has inspired and empowered countless professionals.
